Trainings are open to anyone who is called to learn more about mental illness and substance use/abuse. Medical “First Aid” is well-known by most people. But when faced with a person experiencing a mental health malady, it can be over-whelming because we’ve not, as a culture, given credence to the debilitating effects of mental illness. We can do better caring if we take some time to become more prepared and understanding. Consider these statements from Mental Health America:

Mental Health First Aid could be a relatively easy and accessible first step. The class is limited to the first 25 people. Register as soon as possible!!
Lunch will be a free will offering to the church for providing lunch, snacks and beverages
